13,000 cigarettes of various brands were going to get into the community space illegally, being hidden among unaccompanied luggage.

The goods were found yesterday evening in Cahul on a route minibus traveling to Italy.

Unreported cigarettes were also detained at the capital's airport, after the specialized customs officer of the Customs Service reacted to the suitcase of a passenger of the Chisinau-Berlin flight. He intended to remove 6,000 cigarettes from the country, which he avoided declaring to the customs body. Cigarettes were detained for confiscation, and offenders - fined.
