Moldova will be World Capital of Wine Tourism under the aegis of United Nations on September 6-7
On September 6-7, 2018, the Republic of Moldova will host the Third World Wine Tourism Conference of the World Tourism Organization to the ONU. The event will be organized of the Agenţia de Investiţii din Moldova, authorize the administration of Guvernului RM, subregion of Mondial Tourism Organization.
Due to the major importance for the world wine industry, the event takes place with the support of the National Office of Wine and Wine in cooperation with the USAID and Sweden Government's Moldova Competitiveness Project, which support the development of this field in our country.
Approximately 250-300 professional participants from over 70 countries around the world are expected to attend the event. The transportation and accommodation costs will be borne by the participants. Moldova will only bear internal, organizational expenses, said Stanislav Rusu, Director General of the Tourism Agency.
The first edition of this conference took place in 2016 in Georgia, the Cahetia Region, the second edition of this year will be in Argentina, Mendoza, and the third edition next year will be held in the Republic of Moldova.
