100 pupils from Moldova won Vlad Plahotniuc's "Edelweiss" foundation scholarships
Starting 1st of September, 100 pupils from the Republic of Moldova will receive scholarships for study year 2017-2018, provided by Vlad Plahotniuc's "Edelweiss" foundation. The were chosen among hundreds of pupils who submitted their documents for the Edelweiss scholarship.
The organizers admitted that it was no easy task to chose the winner, as all children who participated had excellent marks and remarkable intelligence.

"We were amazed by those children's work and passion that they input in the creation of the obligatory essays. We chose the top 100 pupils, which had excellent results in all judging criteria. We congratulate them and wish them further success in studies. They are Moldova's future" executive director of Vlad Plahotniuc's "Edelweiss" foundation, Lidia Cucoş announced.
The national contest "100 scholarships for young people", dedicated for pupils in their last High school year from Moldova, begun on 5th of June 2017 and had as an aim to encourage pupils to have good academic results.
According to the term and conditions, each pupil who wishes to participate had to provide a series of documents, including a CV, copies of diplomas and certificates proving that they participated in various school competitions and Olympiads in the past two years, their grades for the past two years, as well as an essay entitled "Viitorul ţării mele sunt Eu" ("I am the country's future").
The winners of the Edelweiss scholarships will receive 500 lei monthly throughout the duration of the 2017-2018 academic year (starting September 2017 and ending May 2018)
