12 illegal fishermen caught red-handed and fined by Dubasari reservoir
12 Fishermen were fined with up to 3,700 lei after being caught for illegal fishing and violation of fishery management law. They were discovered by the Fishery Inspection Service at the Dubasari reservoir last week.
As a result, 14 fishing nets and 2 fishing rods installed by the poachers in the region between the Oxentea and Holercani villages, of Dubasari district, were confiscated.
At the same time, the Fishery Inspection of the Briceni-Edineti sector caught 3 people who were fishing without the necessary documents on the Prut River near the Corpaci village, Edinet district. The poachers were let off the hook with a 300 lei fine.
