14 police inspectors started the two wheels patrol in the Capital parks
14 police inspectors check on the public order in the Capital parks. They patrol on bicycles between 10 AM and 10 PM.
"This is like a sport for us", said Andrei Rotari, INP inspector.
"We manage to combine the work and sport, which is great"m said Cristian Ceban, INP inspector.
The inspectors fine the ones who take drugs, organize fights or enter in the parks with their cars.
"We have a Block 17 gun, tear gas, electroshock, handcuffs. We use these very often, besides the gun, we didn't need it yet", said Cristian Vicol, INP inspector.
The ones who hope they will escape the police don't have any chances, says the director of the General Police Inspectorate.
"Two important elements that make this bike different from a simple one are the becaon system and the sound system, so we have these easy-to-use and easy-to-use gadgets, which can also be accessed here", said the head of the IGP, Alexandru Pânzari.
The police uniforms are different this year.
"We decided to introduce more reflective elements. We also considered the shortcomings that were in this uniform and we decided to make a more efficient, beautiful and practical uniform", IGP head Alexandru Pânzari said.
In 2019, the two-wheel patrol will be extended to four cities in the country, Cahul, Balti, Cantemir and Leova. People say that because of bicycle policemen, they feel safer.
"Their presence is already making people more responsible, not breaking the order."
"We feel safer if they are."
The service was implemented two years ago at the initiative of the head of IGP.
