160 types of drugs highly demanded on the market are 40% cheaper as of today.

Last week, after meeting representatives of pharmaceutical companies, Premier Pavel Filip stated the price slump is due to the partnership between the state and the private businesses. The Prime Minister said compromises were found, so that the suppliers of medicines should not be affected.

In March, the Cabinet endorsed an Action Plan aiming lower drug prices. In April, 1,200 medicines got 14 % cheaper.
