20 young people get graduation diplomas from Edelweiss School of Ambassadors
20 teenagers from Hânceşti district, selected to study the Edelweiss School of Ambassadors, successfully graduated from it and were handed diplomas. Having finished the 9th grade, they said they returned home with new skills and acquaintances.
The students said attending the Edelweiss School of Ambassadors was a great experience. They want to become architects, engineers, physicians, journalists, IT specialists, lawyers, economists or teachers.
"It was an interesting and very useful experience. I opened myself very much within this project."
"After all these five days I feel myself one step upper. This school has made us, better, more emotional, more sensitive."
"We learnt to open ourselves in front of audiences, not to get confused and not to have emotions. That is to be able to control them."
Before getting the diplomas, the teenagers paid a visit to the Parliament. Some of them dream of becoming MPs.
The project coordinators say those 20 students will further be involved in different activities.
"This week does not mean the project has ended. We want to continue this project, to promote them, to help them choose a career," said Lara Moraru, the Edelweiss Foundation executive manager.
The School of Ambassadors is a project launched for the first time by the Edelweiss Foundation. Those 20 young people attended several development programs, supported by specialists from Moldova, Romania and Canada. They were taught to develop communication skills and were advised to an adequate job.
