More and more Moldovans move from villages to towns.  39,000 people moved to cities in 2015, compared to 36.000 in 2014.

According to the National Statistics Bureau, about 2/3 of them come from rural areas.

Official data show, most new arrivals in 2015 were recorded in Chişinău – 13,000 people --, and in Bălţi – 1,400.

The areas losing most inhabitants are the districts of Dubăsari and Șoldăneşti, from which 15 people from 1,000 moved out.
