Customs Service will receive assistance from EUBAM in projects implementation
Stage of projects implemented with the assistance of EUBAM mission, and the following perspectives of cooperation have been evaluated during the meeting of the General Director of the Customs Service, Vitalie Vrabie, with the chief of EUBAM Office in Moldova, Slawonir Pichor.
According to the agenda, the main subjects discussed were the joint control at the Moldova-Ukraine border and the drafting of a Strategy on risks management, the draft of which was initiate in 2015 commonly agreed with USAID BRITE experts. The field of risk analysis is an important component of the integrated management of the state border, and this strategy will ensure a significant input in the effective management of this instrument of preventing and controlling the customs frauds.
In the case of finalization of this project, the Customs Service will become the first customs authority in the region to have such a strategy.
