World Record: Four Romanians want to play the longest game of padel
Four Romanian athletes will play padel for 25 hours this fall, as they want to set a Guinness World Record. Padel is a racquet sport that combines elements from tennis, squash, and badminton.
The record-breaking event will take place on September 17-18 at Club PadelMania in Bucharest’s Herastrau Park. The names of the four Romanians who plan to set the world record are Adrian Vodislav, Adrian Barbu, Gabi Moraru, and Dan Lazar.
Besides setting a world record, the event’s purpose it to raise funds for the Afterschool Program carried out by Save the Children Romania. The program aims to lower school dropout rates and improve school performance. It targets children from disadvantaged communities and offers educational and social services to children and their families.
