Tragedy in Cahul district. A five-year-old child died yesterday after drinking from a bottle with toxic liquid, instead of a bottle with water, most probably herbicide. The incident took place on Saturday, at the workplace of one of his parents.

According to police, at the moment of tragedy the kid was in the car, and his parents were discussing outside. He drank from the bottle his father bought for spraying the plants.

The child was hospitalized in the same day in Cahul Regional Hospital. In spite of doctors’ efforts to save his life, he died a day later in the hospital. The police opened a case in order to establish all circumstances of the tragedy.
