New treatment methods discovered by Moldovan scientists and medical devices are presented in a new edition of Moldomedizin and MoldDent exhibition. Equipment prices reach tens of thousands of euros. However, doctors say that such investments deserve to be made.

Modern devices for performing blood count are presented at the exhibition for the second time. So far, they are found in only a few medical institutions in the capital. The machine costs 20 thousand euro.

"This equipment is a new technology based on five lasers that tests each cell separately. A test is performed in about 60 seconds" , said Tudor Ceaicovschi, director of a medical equipment company.

Equipment for emergency medicine was exposed at the event. 

Doctors say the implementation of new diagnostic and treatment technologies would allow them to save more lives:

"Pre-hospital medical care needs to be given at a European level. We don't have worn equipment? No, it's not high-level facilities."

"We want to modernize and introduce new technologies. We want patients to be happy."

This year's exhibition purpose is to strengthen collaboration between physicians and manufacturers of medical equipment, says Minister of Health.

"We have concrete tasks for professional associations to come up with new proposals of treatments, more modern, improving the functioning of certain services who need medical equipment" , said Health Minister, Ruxandra Glavan.

The exhibition gathers over 60 pharmaceutical companies, medical equipment manufacturers and medical institutions.
