Tensions get high in Moldovan squad ahead of match with Ireland
Tension in the Moldovan squad ahead of tomorrow’s match with Ireland, qualifying for the 2018 World Championship. The coach Igor Dobrovolski plans to expel a player from the team, but still avoids to say who that may be.
"Everything said within the collective is there to stay. I won’t say anything but some accuse some team mates of some mistakes. I call such individuals ‘rats’ and I don’t need any ‘rats’”, Dobrovolski said.
The game against Ireland will be the third for the tricolors in this qualifying leg. Moldova was defeated by Wales, 0-4, and, last Thursday, by Serbia 0-3, in Chișinău.
"Our main goal is to repair our mistakes. Now we need to focus," Dobrovolski specified.
Moldova will play Ireland on the Zimbru stadium on Sunday, starting 21:45. The two squads will meet for the first time. The match will be judged by a team of referees, head by the Dane Jacob Kehlet.
