Prime Minister, ministry representatives broach pivotal economic topics for society
Premier Pavel Filip’s initiative to help the young families to buy homes has been discussed today at a sitting attended by representatives of the Economic Council, attached to the Prime Minister, and of the Economy and Finance Ministries.
Such ways of supporting young families to buy their first house are employed in European countries.
The idea of the future program is that the state should aid the young families by guaranteeing their mortgages and even paying a part of the interest.
The attendants have resolved to ask for more information from the National Bank and commercial banks regarding the sustainability of such a program
The attendees have also discussed ways of curbing the practice of paying off salaries ‘in envelopes,’ as a working group is to look into the matter and come up with solutions.
