Moldovan Ambassador to Romania Michael Gribincea could be recalled. A request to initiate the proceedings to this effect was sent by the President Igor Dodon.

In a message posted on a social network, the spokesman of the presidency, Ion Ceban, announced that the request of the head of state comes after the diplomat said that the decree on withdrawal of citizenship of former Romanian president Traian Basescu could be declared unconstitutional, during a TV program.

According to Igor Dodon, the assertion is contrary to the national interests of the Republic of Moldova.

President urges representatives of the diplomatic corps to exclusively represent the country's interests and act in accordance with the Constitution.
