Premier Pavel Filip has chaired a sitting of government officials drafting the reform of the disability establishing system.
The new system is meant to match world standards in finding one’s inability to work.
The current system is deemed by specialists from the Labor Ministry as outdated, and not fitting the special needs of the disabled, like access ramps. There are too few medical experts in establishing disabilities.
"We need initial data in order to build something. We need clarity in order to identify solutions. We must know where the reserves are and now the state can intervene,” Premier Pavel Filip underscored.
He has asked the Labor Ministry to lay the draft law on the table by March.
