The banks of dirty snow along roads in Chisinau are not going to be cleaned up soon, as the municipal company complains it does not have the money to do so.

At the same time, the city’s sidewalks are covered in ice, as hundreds reach hospital after slipping on it.

14 companies and 65 natural persons were fined last week for not cleaning the snow and ice in front of their offices and houses.

However, in places the municipal authorities managed to spread out salt and sand on some sidewalks and within courtyards of dwelling blocks.
