The Moldovan Cabinet will pay MDL2.45 mn to 16 politically repressed from 10 localities.

Annually, the Government pays damages to people subjected to reprisals by the Soviet Regime to make up for their confiscated or nationalized properties.

13 mn lei are earmarked in the 2017 state budget to be disbursed as compensations to political victims.  

In 2016, over MDL 13.6 mn were paid off, and 20.7 mn in 2015.
