Stray dogs invade northern town of Balti

As many as 380 people were bitten by stray dogs in 2016 in the northern town of Bălți. According to the medical authorities it’s a 10-per-cent rise on the year.
11 people were attacked by dogs affected by rabies. Specialists find the townsfolks are scared by the stray dogs and are afraid to let their kids play in courtyards.
The stray dogs gather at garbage bins, but they are more aggressive in winter, because of hunger and cold.
Igor Șeremet, a deputy mayor responsible with the issue, has rejected to talk with the Publika TV reporter. The number of the stray dogs in Bălți is assessed at 30,000 and rising.
