About 1.7 billion lei were recuperated from the failed banks Banca de Economii, Unibank and Banca Socială, by March 1.

According to the Finance Ministry, the state got about 770 mn lei from selling assets of those banks.

Over 930 million lei were recuperated from the emergency loan of $13.5 bn provide dto those banks by the Central Bank (BNM.)

Those banks started the liquidation process in the fall of 2015.
