The Cabinet has okayed building a monument to the Holocaust victims and to the Soviet military having fought in the Afghanistan war.

The Holocaust monument will be erected in the southern town of Cahul, on the place of the ghetto having been there during WWII.

The monument to the soldiers having fought in the Afghanistan war will be built in the northern town of Edineț.

The money will be allocated from the central and local budgets.
