April is the month when farmers start their work in the fields and in order to have a good harvest they are being encouraged to use non-GMO seeds.
These were displayed at a fair in Cigarleni village, Ialoveni district.
Hundreds of bags of fruit and vegetable seeds found their place on the stalls. The manufacturers have sold organic seeds, which have miraculous nutritional properties.
Manufacturers also urge farmers not use chemicals, but instead natural solutions.
Some manufacturers came to the fair with germinated seeds that can be eaten fresh. One hundred grams of wheat and barley root are worth of $20 and alfalfa is sold at 30 lei.
All visitors have enjoyed the fair.
