Over MDL1.7 billion were recuperated by April 1 from the failed Banca de Economii, Unibank and Banca Socială.

According to Ministry of Finances, the state got MDL780 mn from selling  assets of those banks. Over 960 mn lei were recuperated from the emergency loan of 13.5 billion lei offered by the National Bank (BNM) to those banks.

The bust banks entered the liquidation process in the fall of 2015.
