AI beats scientists in choosing embryos for IVF success

Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be possibly used to predict successful In Vitro Fertilization(IVF).
This claim has resulted from the study carried out by experts from Sao Paulo State University (Brazil) and Boston Place Clinic (London).
According to the study, AI is initially trained how a good embryo looks like from a series of images. Then AI recognizes and quantifies 24 images characteristics of embryos so as to look for viable embryos and highlight defective ones.
By removing the potential for human error, more cycles of IVF could result in healthy babies, researchers said.
In addition, these AI systems are supposedly more reliable and consistent than human embryologists.
