Last night a strong fire broke out and totally burnt 100m3 wood collected in April in Saint Lazarus cemetery (Doina Street 189, Chisinau).

The fire was related to actual hot weather.

 

The fire spread over an area of 250 square meters.

 

Until now, it's remained unknown what triggered the fire. The Committee of Emergency Situations conducted an emergency meeting in the City Hall.

Firefighters recommend that people do not lit up the garbage during this hot weather, as that causes riskily vegetation fires.
