Moldova's neutrality does not mean the isolation of this country. The statement was made by Prime Minister Pavel Filip referring to the opening of NATO office in Chisinau.
"I want to tell you that we have no difficulty with the opening of the NATO office in Chisinau. Moldova's neutrality does not mean isolation, we want to ensure good relationship with the North Atlantic Alliance, "Filip added.
The agreement to set up NATO office in Chisinau was signed by Prime Minister Pavel Filip and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on 29 November in Brussels.
Moldova has been working with NATO since the declaration of independence in 1991, when Moldova became a member of the North Atlantic Cooperation Council.
