Chirsova village in Gagauzia can boast a new performance.

From September, all households in the locality will have access to the fresh water network.

A tower of new artesian well built in the village will provide water to more than 500 families that were not connected to the aqueduct. The system was built with the support of the European Union and local authorities.

Until now, only six out of ten households in Chirsova had access to the aqueduct. In September, after the completion of the tower installation, the water will reach the homes of other locals.

This construction cost 100 thousand dollars, of which 20 per cent was the contributed by local authorities. The project was carried out within the framework of the European Program "Support for Agriculture and Rural Development in Gagauzia and Taraclia District", conducted by UNDP.
