The ten-year-old boy who drowned on the Nistru River on Monday evening near Telita village (Anenii Noi district) was found.

The body was detected by rescuers and some nearby people 10 kilometers away from the initial place he was, by water currents. The child has been searched by divers for several days.

The boy drowned on Monday night while he was with his parents and relatives in the Nistru river. He could have been pulled by water while swimming. Everything happened under the eyes of everybody, but no one was able to save him.

Since the beginning of 2017, 57 people have drowned including 12 minors.

The Civil Protection and Exceptional Situations Service warns citizens to swim only in authorized places and not to leave children unattended.
