Prices for public transportation might rise in the Capital. Transport Directorate forwarded to the Municipal Council for approval a new project, through which the prices for traveling tickets will rise with one leu.

A ticket for trolleybus will cost three lei and four lei for a bus ticket.

Even traveling with minibuses might cost more. 15 administrators of minibus lines demand a ticket to cost nearly 10 lei.

According to the President of Private Transportation Association, Ion Mamaliga, a higher price will not bring any comforts to the minibuses, but is necessary for maintaining the vehicle.

The City Hall of Chisinau will hold debates on this topic in September.

Last time the price of a public transportation ticket rose in 2009, while for minibuses in 2006.
