The Magistrate of Chisinau rejects two complaints written in favor of Dorin Chirtoaca
The court of Chisinau from Buiucani rejected today two complaints written in the favor of Dorin Chirtoaca. One of them covers the beginning of the investigation of the suspended Mayor, while the second about the removal of attorney from the case. Unhappy, Chirtoaca decided to write to the European Convention on Human Rights.
“The investigation begun before the crime was even made. Adding to the fact that the attorneys were removed, along other irregularities, are gathering atop one another. At the end the investigation will be filled with irregularities. We will most likely have to address to the European Convention on Human Right”, the suspended Mayor of Chisinau, Dorin Chirtoaca, said.
The court decided that at the end of July, the attorneys will be forbidden from participating at the trial’s hearing sessions.
“By delaying the examination the attorneys managed to finish the investigation in proper timing”, attorney Dumitru Robu declared.
Dorin Chirtoaca was taken into custody on the 25th of May for money extortion in the paid parking facilities and is place under house arrest.
The suspended Mayor is accused of power paddling. He risks to spend the next seven years behind bars. Dorin Chirtoaca pleads not guilty.
