Principle Library for children "Ion Creangă" to be RENOVATED
The headquarters of the National Library for Children "Ion Creangă" was renovated to prepare for oncoming academic year. Over 11 million lei was located from state budget for this renovation.
Accordingly, the space of 450 square meters in library was rebuilt and new furniture as well as new equipment was also provided.
Cute visitors were delighted with new face of library:
"New school year comes now and it's great place to come and do the homework, especially when we need to look for information in library".
"I was just on the first floor long time ago when i was a child. Now I visit again and feel so amazed, greatly amazed!"
"This library was one of my dreams. New face helps the children visit with pleasure, not in obligation", said Claudia Balaban, director of the library.
The Minister of Education, Culture and Research, Monica Babuc also attended the inauguration:
"The library now is very beautiful, very modern. It's equipped with new valuable books and offers kids with latest high quality services".
The initiative to renovate the library headquarters was launched by Democrat Marian Lupu in 2009, when he was the President of the Parliament.
Currently, the headquarters of the institution has a book fund of 200,000 volumes
