Students enrolled in medicine attend welcome ceremony: Doctor is noble profession
Students enrolled this year at the Medicine University "Nicolae Testemiţanu" attended the welcome ceremony.
They met their teachers, who, in their turn, encouraged them to learn hard and to be devoted to the profession they had chosen. The young say they are ready to deal with the hard study.
Ana-Maria Vinoagă is one of the recent students from the University of Medicine. The young student says being a doctor is her dream from childhood:
"A lot of expectations and great desire, I'm absolutely sure to go on this way and have success in future."
Her father is proud of his daughter's choice: "We will support her all the time to fulfill her desire."
Other students also are pursuing the same passion:
"It's a noble profession, I follow my family's footsteps. My mom, aunt are also doctors"
The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Stela Grigoraş, assured the students they would be better paid than the current doctors.
"It's really important to have high quality service as well as best professionals. So we have to offer appropriate financial incentive".
This year, 685 students were enrolled at "Nicolae Testemiţanu" University of Medicine. Most of them, 460, will study in the General Medicine specialty. Other 90 students will study dentistry and 78 hope to become pharmacists.
