High demand for flowers on first day of school
Flowers shops welcome lots of clients buying flowers for first day of school.
Dozens of parents along with their children came to flower market on Calea Basarabiei in the capital last evening.
Those bought flowers yesterday definitely got cheaper prices.
"For school, for the teacher, for the kindergarten teacher, to rejoice everyone."
Some children chose to prepare themselves flower bouquets. Mădălina Cojocari, studying 6th grade at the "Spiru Haret" High School in Chisinau, made a bunch of flowers for her geography teacher.
"For my geography teacher, I lover and respect her so much".
However, traders say the number of buyers has declined lately.
On the wholesale market a Clove Pink costs 10 lei, a rose - 30 lei, and the price for an orchid between 150 and 250 lei.
