Two company's leaders sued for mismanagement, causing damages to over 71 investors
The director, founder and sales manager of two construction companies will face trial after committing more misconduct at housing construction, resulting in large damage to more 71 investors.
According to prosecutors, during 2012, the defendants unlawfully conducted mismanagement of building additional floors in three-story building on 115 Alexandru cel Bun Street in Chisinau.
Thus, they unlawfully concluded 71 investment contracts with physical and legal persons for the rooms on the floors, built abusively, contrary to the legal provisions and the execution project.
Therefore, abusing their functional attributions, the defendants unreasonably received more than 52 million lei from the investors, and the buildings remain in exploitation until today.
Although these companies have been repeatedly warned by the State Inspectorate of Construction, Labor Inspection and Police on the detected irregularities, and a prescription for the termination of the works, they continued their illicit activity.
Moreover, during the years 2014-2015, the defendants used a part of the funds, collected from investors, for personal purposes. Overall, according to estimates, the sum of the damages was 101 million lei.
