Hepatitis A outbreak in Cantemir district. According to the head physician of the Public Health Center in the village, over the past two weeks, eight pupils, four kindergarten children and a woman contracted this virus.

Most patients are from Baimaclia village. The patients were hospitalized, and seven of them are still in hospital. To stop the spread of the infection, specialists from the Public Health Center began vaccination at Cantemir schools.

Last year, in the village of Porumbeşti in the same district, 132 hepatitis A cases were recorded.
