At the end of the last week, a 20-year-old citizen from Moldova, has attempted to pass Sculeni - Iaşi border with a car, registered in the Republic of Moldova.

After searching the man, at the request of border police, the customs officers managed to find a Romanian identification card, in one of the pockets.

After investigating,it was established that the document did not match a real one.

The men admitted that he wished to go to France and use the fake Romanian ID in order to legally stay there and find a workplace. 

He purchased the fake card from an unknown citizen for 100 Euro.

The man is now investigated for forging documents.
