A citizen of Moldova was caught at Sculeni customs for trying to get to France with a false Romanian ID card.

The 31-year-old man was a passenger on a Moldova-France minibus route.

During the control officers have noticed a Romanian ID card in the man's wallet, which proved to be forged. 

The suspect claims to have no knowledge that the document was false, as it was made for him by an unknown individual.

The border police is investigating the case in order to establish all circumstances and will further announce a fitting punishment.

The false document was seized and given for forensic expertise.
