The number of car accidents in the Capital has slightly rose in September.

According to the chief of Police Directorate of Chisinau, Silviu Mușuc, September registered 130 accidents, with 8 more than in August. They resulted with 8 deceased and nearly 140 injured.

"Compared to last year, the number of car accidents rose in September, resulting with a similar number of injured, but with 5 more causalities" Silviu Mușuc said.

In the first nine months of the year, in Chisinau, were registered 950 car accidents, with 120 more than during similar time last year. Where 48 people have passed away and 110 were injured.

Most accidents took place at Botanica, with 230 accidents, resulting with 14 deceased. Police officers have also estimated that most collisions take place during Fridays. 

Until today were registered over 170 cases, where over 200 people have been injured. Moreover, the most popular time for accidents is between 2 and 4 PM, when 136 accidents took place.
