African swine fever affected Palanca village
A new stokehold of African swine fever was found in Palanca village, Stefan Voda District.
On October 31, there was convened the Regional Commission for Emergency Situations. Within the commission there was approved the plan of prophylaxis in Palanca.
Thus, the commission decided that the infected animals should be treated, while the other animals from the village should be checked by the veterinary doctors.
PUBLIKA.MD says the African swine fever is a viral, contagious illness that affects the domestic and wild pigs. The virus can't be transmitted to the humans, but it can generate big losses to the farms.
