The streets from Capital are covered with leaves. Now, at the end of the autumn, with the beautiful landscape comes the problems of the workers of the City Hall. The employees of the Communally Direction and ''Spatii verzi'' work very hard to clean all the parks and the yards of the block of flats.

Tens of workers cleaned the ''Stefan cel Mare'' public garden. 

''It is hard to work, there are a lot of leaves, the trees are empty and the leaves are wet, it is hard to gather them.''

''Of course, during the autumn there are a lot of leaves. We have a lot of work to do and we try to manage everything, to clean the whole city. The leaves are falling till it is snowing.''

''We dig, we rake and pack the leaves. It will be easier to work the next year if we dig now.''

Only the last week we gathered 50 tons of leaves from the parks.

''We have a lot of work to do in the autumn. We should pack the leaves, dig, cut the roses, as we prepare it for winter. Daily, we evacuate around 3-4 tones of leaves from ''Stefan cel Mare'' Public Garden and the Park of the Cathedral'', said Lidia Bararau, the spokesman of '"Spatii verzi''.

In the yard of the bock of flats, the workers of the Communally Direction work to gather not only the leaves, but the branches too.

''There is a lot of work for us in the autumn. There are a few of us and we should manage to clean everything. We should clean the leaves from the yards of the blocks of flats and the sidewalks.''

''We broom, pack. We start at 11, we clean the path from the park. We broom near the houses and under the balconies.''

The employees of communally direction say there are 35 cars and 15 tractors involved in the cleaning process.

''Daily, there are evacuated 40-50 tones of dry leaves. This means 120 cubic meters of leaves daily. There are 450 workers and 30-35 transport unities'', said Vasile Efros, the chief of the Communally Direction.

All the garbage is taken to a polygon form the periphery of the Capital.
