Insurance companies have earned over one billion lei in the first nine months of the year, showing a 5% increase compared to similar period last year.

The most earnings were generated from vehicle insurances.

According to data from the National Commission and the Financial Market, the Green Card type insurance brought 271 million lei to companies and another over 234 million came from the sale of RCA insurance.

Compensations paid by insurance companies were also lower by almost 2% compared to the same period last year.

Their value reached 346 million lei. Of these, 118 million were RCA indemnities, and nearly 50 million - for the Green Card.
