A car parked at the traffic light in Bălți has suddenly burst into flames last evening, after 23:00 local time.

The sole passenger, the 34-year-old driver, has managed to exit it in time. He noticed smoke coming our from under the hood, soon after, fire engulfed the engine and a part of the car's salon.

It took firefighters 10 minutes to extinguish the flames. The cause of fire has yet to be established.
