The children from the whole country are urged to sent letters to Santa Claus, because he will definitely reply. The first who sent the letters are the children of Opincuta Folk band from the Capital.
The children want the following things:
"I want to be healthy and happy and I also want a helicopter with remote control."
"I want a book, because I like to read."
"I want a book about cosmonauts, many chocolates, a chess table and crayons."
"I want a pair of rolls and a history book. I hope that Santa Claus will make my desire a reality."
After they put the letters in the post box, the young artists sang Christmas carols.
The campaign "Receive a letter from Santa Claus" will continue till December 22. The post office of Moldova shared the letters to Santa Claus's addresses.
"They should write ahead if they want to receive a reply. Santa Claus should manage till the New Year. The stamps are not required, the address is "Santa Claus's Academy", it is required for you to write your address", said Irina Mitache, representative of Santa Claus's Academy.
Last year, there were collected over 14 000 letters. For the first time, the campaign was organized in 2001.
