Bălţi kept on its toes after three days of bomb hoaxes
General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Police and Rescuers were dispatched after being alerted of a bomb being planted in the Christmas tree from Bălţi.
After nearly an hour, specialists have established that it was a false alarm and the call was made from a pay phone.
The tree was installed last Sunday, but it was not yet inaugurated.
Three days ago, a man from Bălți called the local police and warned that an apartment block from the city contained a land mine.
The man who made the phone calls is watched over psychiatrist.
