30 stolen thuja trees from garden of couple from Ialoveni
A couple desired a green fence around the house, but the thieves destroyed their dream. 30 thuja trees were stolen from the household of a family from Horesti village, Ialoveni district. The owners of the house work in France and they weren't home at the moment of the robbery. Last summer, Dumitru Leu planted 82 trees and the cost of one of the trees is 350 lei. Totally, he paid 29 thousand lei.
"I was thinking they will steal at least two, three or five trees. It is a very precious tree. I wasn't expecting they will steal 30 trees. It was very beautiful here with those trees", said Dumitru Leu, the owner of the house.
The first who noticed the trees are missing is a friend of the family.
"The trees were permanent. In the morning, my son called me and asked to go to check if the trees are still at their place", said Sergiu Leu, the father of the house's owner.
The people think it is a big shame to steal from somebody else's house.
"They are not educated. Why doesn't he work to gain money and buy the same trees? They pretend they are good people, but, in reality, they are bad. There was a time when robbers were stealing cows or the animals", said a citizen on the village.
"I know who made this. It is not good to steal. They were very beautiful when the owner installed them", said a citizen.
The material damages are up to ten thousand lei. In this case, the police initiated a penal case.
"Till this moment, the police makes the all possible to catch the robbers. But, we don't have any suspects", said Silvia Vetco, press officer of Ialoveni Police Inspectorate.
If found guilty, the robber risks up to four years in prison or a fine of 67 thousand lei.
