Four Moldovans searched for illegal possession of guns and cartridges
Four Moldovan citizens are searched for illegal possession of hunting guns and cartridges. Moreover, there is a suspicion that they would have used hunting weapons in the border area.
In the first case, the Costeşti Border Police Patrol Sector noticed a Volkswagen Caddy in the direction of the Cobani-Balatina localities,that was moving to the border line. The car has been stopped to be checked. As a result, three Moldovan citizens, with a residence visa in the village of Balatina, Glodeni district, were legalized. Thus, the border guards traced two guns with a straight pipe, "TOZ" horse. 16 mm and "Pietro Berreta Armament" cal. 12 mm, for which none of the men could present any documents and even weapons portraits.
At the same time, after another searches, the police officers found five cartridges of 16 cal. mm, of Slug 27 model.
The detained persons were very short in their declaration, they have only recognized that intended to hunt.
The fourth "hunter" was found near Crocmaz village, Ştefa Vodă district. The border police stopped a Nissan, identifying two Crocmaz residents. Within the searches, the officers found a hunting weapon in the back of the car. From primary research, IJ 27M model gun and two horse cartridges of12 mm belonged to one of the men, who was a passenger. The person could not provide the necessary documents of the goods.
The guns and the cartridges were transmitted to the National Center for Judicial Expertise. The searches are ongoing.
