After PDM decided to stop optimization process, three schools will be reopened
Three closed schools because of the students' number will be reopened soon. The decision was made after the Education Ministry analyzed the optimization process. It has been proved that the saving up process didn't take place and the close of the schools was a bad decision.
One of the institutions that will be opened is the Farladeni gymnasium from Hancesti district was transformed in a primary school. Starting with this year, 11 pupils from fourth grade and nine from first grade started to go to school in the neighbor village. Thus, the building was transformed in a kindergarten.
The children say it is hard to go with the bus everyday, to arrive at the school:
"I go there early, because the bus leaves at 8 am. It doesn't come twice."
"I arrive in the village late, at 3 pm or 2:30 pm."
"She should leave from home at 7 am. She doesn't even manage to eat or to drink a tea. She stays there till 3 pm and she gets hungry."
Before being optimized, the Farladeni school was repaired, due to the European investments.
"We repaired the school. The classes were closed. When we saw the repaired classes, we couldn't believe", mentioned the director of the school.
After the vacation, the school from Tepilova village, Soroca district will be reopened. The school from Bolohani village, Orhei district will also be reopened. At the end of February, the Education Ministry will announce the list of the schools that will be reopened.
"We want to provide the necessary conditions for all the children to study", said Monica Babuc, the Minister of Education, Culture and Search.
At the middle of October, Vlad Plahotniuc, the President of PDM proposed the Government to stop the optimization process of the schools. The optimization reform started in 2010 and lasted seven years. Since 2015 there were closed over 170 educational institutions.
