Among the employees of China's biggest airline company counts a citizen of Moldova. Mariana Solonaru, was born in Străşeni and is responsible for recruiting foreign pilots. The young woman completed her Masters degree in accounting and auditing in Constanţa.

After finishing her studies, she entered an internship for half a year in Shangai, a city she immediately fell in love with. She decided to stay and find a job there.

"I felt very lucky, as you know how it is, for a student it is very hard to find something to grasp and start working in your field" Mariana Solonaru said.

During the two years of her activity, the young Moldovan has managed to employ pilots from all over the world, but not from Moldova.

"We have pilots from Romania. Contacted some from Moldova, but recently we have not employed anyone yet, but I am insistent and truly wish for it. I contacted some, but have not managed to employ anyone yet. We have pilots from all over the world, from 45 to 50 countries" Mariana Solonaru said.

The young woman claims that at first it was hard to adapt.

"I have a Chinese colleague, only Chinese. It was harder in the beginning to get used to, because I didn't know the language well and Chinese people are different and have a different culture, they are not as opened as us" Mariana Solonaru explained.

She misses home the most.

"I believe everyone misses home, it is not a feeling anyone can overcome" Mariana Solonaru said.

The company in which Mariana Solonaru works has nearly 8 000 employees.
