The idea that the liberalized visa regime for Moldovans might be in jeopardy seems to be rather dull and inconsistent with reality, said MEP Andi Cristea on a social network.

"The idea that the liberalized visa regime for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova is in danger of being suspended is cumbersome and inconsistent with reality," said MEP Andi Cristea.

PUBLIKA.MD reminds that the Republic of Moldova continues to meet the criteria underlying the liberalization of the visa regime with the EU. It is the conclusion of the European Commission's first Annual Report on the Visa Waiver Mechanism, which assesses in a complex and detailed manner the level of implementation of visa-free regime conditions with the European Union for the Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership countries published on 20 December 2017.
