The winter holidays have come to an end in the Capital. The Christmas tree and light were taken down.

Some citizens of the Capital have nostalgically watched the process.

"It was beautiful. -Do you regret that it's being taken down? -I do, but what can we do?"

"It was a wonderful sight both during the day and at night."

"Just when the weather is colder and winter can be felt. They should have left it for a while longer."

The Christmas Fair organized by the Government has also closed its doors for visitors. Employees are taking down the wood houses and the carousel. 

"We begun this morning and I believe it will be finished in two days."

"We disassemble them and take them back to the storage for the next year."

Right before the end, some citizens decided to come and take pictures.

"It is very beautiful. Pity that I could not have brought my children here, but now we came to catch a glimpse of it. Everything is being taken down. -Have you managed to snap a few pictures? -Yes, at the tree and we wish for a few at the ice rink."

"I loved the tree and the ice rink."

People were delighted of the winter wonderland that was created in the Capital for holidays.

"It was very beautiful and I believe, Chisinau hosted something like this for the first time. It was very interesting. Many people visited and I believe many loved it."

"I loved what they did this year. I hoped for it to last longer, but it is being disassembled now."

People will be able to enjoy the ice rink on 31 August street for another two months.

The Christmas Fair was organized at the initiative of Prime Minister Pavel Filip and was inaugurated on 15th December.
